"Triple R"

Indie gets a forever home for Christmas!!!

Lauren Ryshouwer of Monticello and Indie, a rescue Quarter Horse from Madison County, form a new "forever" team in time for Christmas 2011. Thank you to Kateri Timmes for taking such good care of Indie when he was in foster. He put on more than 100 pounds and only has a little more to go. He is a wonderful trail horse - and even has an extra gait, which means he's got some Walker in the gene pool.

Our "babies" find new homes -- September/October 2011

Triple Star, the beautiful paint filly born to Scarlett, and Apache Cloud (AKA George), the colt born to New Moon, have found their forever homes. Both left Triple R after they turned six months old and were weaned from their moms. We will miss them but know they have wonderful lives ahead.

Triple Star -- Adopted by Lisa Davis of Canton, Ga., in  September 2011

Apache Cloud  -- Adopted by Amy Kelly of Monticello on Oct. 2

Congratulations to Pat and Jim Lazenby, Ashley Heath & Family and Jeffrery Lyncker --- and Winntu! Adopted 2/2011

It's a happy day for Winntu, shown here with Jeffrey Lyncker, who will soon begin training the young paint alongside Ashley Heath. Ashley and Pat - with family and friends - volunteered to become a foster home for some horses in need. They not only opened their home, but also their hearts, to Winntu, who arrived in Tallahassee last summer along with his sister, New Moon. The pair came from Hidden Springs Ranch in Marianna, another horse rescue that asked Triple R for help because it had too many horses to care for. This is one lucky gelding!

Congratulations to Maddie Smyly and Luke!

Maddie adopted Luke on September 17, 2010

Luke is a bright bay 20+ year old Saddlebred Gelding who stands around 15.2 hands. Maddie and Luke are best friends. Maddie feeds and grooms him twice daily and he helps her with her homework. Maddie and Luke are also working on their dressage tests and jumping skills.

Update from Maddie March 28, 2011:

12/05/2009 Update on Holly

...My horse has changed my life forever and I am forever grateful for all that you have given me.  Just so you know, I have changed "Holly's" name to "Beauty" because she is so beautiful to me.  Also, she is doing wonderful.  We had a few rough time in the beginning with the other horses (as I feel she has issues at feeding time) but that has all been resolved.  I have hired a trainer to help me train her during the week because I now have a full time job as well.  I visit her everyday and she makes me very happy, and I owe it all to all of you.    Thank you again, and Donna please keep in touch with me, so I can keep you up to date on Beauty's progress.

Thank You and God Bless you,   Maggie Hurley
